Heed the Animal Welfare Charities – Don’t Shop, Adopt!

The animal welfare charities deserve our support the whole year round.

Their caring, and demanding work is always under budget and accommodation pressure. In the run up to Christmas many families will be seeking a pet, mainly a pup. Those who want that special Christmas family puppy will seek out a breeder and hundreds of puppies will be bought online.

Each year there’s a post-Christmas realisation regarding puppy costs, veterinary fees, and the essential time commitment. Christmas pups, now unwanted, will be handed into the animal welfare shelters.

Those engaged in the welfare of discarded pups are now pleading with the public not to shop, adopt. The skilled and experienced charity staff can offer expert advice regarding a suitable pup or young dog. Their advice on the right dog can be invaluable.

Best of all another sheltered dog will find a forever loving home. It is worth thinking about!
